A temporary resident is a foreign national who is legally authorized to enter Canada for temporary purposes such as visiting, studying or working. This category also includes Super Visa if you wish to invite your parents/grandparents to Canada. -Visitor/Super Visa: A foreign national can apply to temporarily visit Canada based on various reasons including Family visit, Tourism, and Business Visit. -Study Permit: A Canadian study permit is the document that allows you to study at a school in Canada. Once you have been accepted to study at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI), you can apply for a Canadian study permit. -Work Permit: Canadian Work Permits allow individuals abroad to fill the gaps in the Canadian workforce. Your spouse or common-law partner and dependent children maybe eligible to apply and come to Canada to study or secure a job under work permit.

The Provincial Nominee Program allows provinces to recruit workers to fill unique provincial economic needs. Potential immigrants who meet the province’s requirements for skills and work experience may obtain Alberta Provincial Nomination Certificate via AAIP.

-A foreign worker is able to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence under Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trade Worker or Canadian Experience Class through the Express Entry. -A temporary worker may also apply for Permanent Residence after receiving their Provincial Nomination Certificate under the AAIP program. -Family Sponsorship Program offers Canadian Permanent Residents/Citizens the opportunity to sponsor their spouses/common law partners and dependant children. *The sponsor must be atleast 18 years old and living in Canada.

Canadian citizenship is granted to an individual that the Canadian identity law characterizes as a public of Canada. To become a Canadian citizen, most applicants must be a permanent resident, have lived in Canada for at least 3 out of the last 5 years (1,095 days), have filed their taxes, pass a citizenship test, and prove their language skills in English or French *Other requirements may apply. PR card is a travel ID that is issued to the Permanent residents of Canada. You need a valid permanent resident (PR) card to prove you’re a permanent resident when you return to Canada from another country. The card is valid for 5 years.

LMIA

LMIA

Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) may be needed by Canadian employers who wish to hire foregin workers. So, if an employer needs an LMIA, they must apply for one prior to hiring a foreign national. A Positive LMIA shows that there is no Canadian citizen or PR available to fill the required position.
